Privacy Policy
Effective 17 October 2026
RAN Online: Forever is a fan-run server of the classic game RAN Online. This policy covers the website ranforever.com, the browser game at play.ranforever.com, the PC game client and the Android app "RAN Online: Forever". It says what we collect, why, who else sees it, and how you can have it deleted.
1. What we collect
| What | Details and why |
|---|---|
| Your account | Username, password, security key and e-mail address. We use them to log you in, to reset a forgotten password and to send security e-mails (for example when your account logs in on a new device). |
| Your game data | Your characters and everything that belongs to them: level, class, items, in-game money, skills, pets, friends and club. Chat messages and game actions go through our game server so other players can see them. |
| Logins and security | The IP address and time of logins and website visits, and the browser or device type of devices you choose to remember. We use them to keep your account safe and to stop cheating and abuse. |
| Top-ups | Amount, date, status and reference number of each E-Points top-up. Your bank or e-wallet details are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store them. |
| Support tickets | What you write to us and the screenshots you attach. |
| Crash and connection reports (Android app) | When the app crashes or loses its connection it sends a report: device model, Android version, app version, network type (Wi-Fi or mobile data) and times. Character names, chat and other personal text are removed before it is sent. We keep only a shortened network address (the last part removed). We use the reports to fix bugs. |
| Control usage | The game counts which buttons and screens are used, without names or chat, so we can improve the controls. |
| Install identifier and device type (Android app) | A random identifier made when the app is installed, and whether it runs on a phone or an emulator. We use them to spot automated play; they never lead to an automatic ban: our staff look and decide. |
| Play summaries | Once an hour, and when you log out, the game writes a short summary of how each character played: how many attacks, skills, walks and pick-ups, how evenly they were spaced, and how long it went without a break, with a one-way code made from your network address (not the address itself). No chat, keystrokes or screen taps are in it. We use it to spot bots and auto-clickers; it never leads to an automatic ban: our staff look and decide. |
2. Cookies and storage on your device
- A login cookie keeps you logged in to the website for up to 12 hours.
- If you tick "Remember this device", a cookie keeps that device logged in for up to 30 days. You can log out remembered devices in your account.
- The website remembers an invite code or the ad link you came from, so the right player gets the invite reward.
- The game stores your settings (graphics, controls, language) on your device.
3. Who else sees your data
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. Only these services handle part of it for us:
- Cloudflare carries the website and the browser game's traffic and runs the "human check" on forms.
- Our payment provider (QR Ph payments) processes your top-up payments.
- Brevo delivers our e-mails (password reset and security e-mails).
- Meta (Facebook), website only: to measure our Facebook and Instagram ads, the website ranforever.com may use Meta's pixel. Meta then learns that your browser visited the site or created an account. We never send Meta your username, password, security key or e-mail address. The game and the Android app do not use it.
Other players see your character name, level, class, club and what you say in public chat, and the website's rankings and character pages show your characters to everyone. We may also give data to the authorities when the law requires it.
4. Security
The website and the browser game use encrypted connections (HTTPS). The PC game client and the Android app talk to the game server with the game's original network protocol, which is not encrypted. Please use a password you do not use anywhere else, and keep your security key private.
5. How long we keep it
- Your account and game data: as long as your account exists.
- Login and server logs: a limited time, then they are deleted.
- Top-up records: as long as the law requires us to keep payment records, even after an account is deleted.
- What happens when you delete your account is listed on the account deletion page.
6. Your choices
- Change your password, security key and e-mail address in your account.
- Log out every remembered device by changing your password.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for a correction, with a support ticket.
- Delete your account: ranforever.com/delete-account.
7. Children
The game is not meant for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes
If we change this policy we update this page and its date. Important changes are also announced on our Facebook page.
9. Contact
Open a support ticket on ranforever.com (log in first), or message our Facebook page.
